1. Who can participate?

The more the merrier! A company may enter an unlimited number of runners, walkers, joggers, and wheelchair participants, from 1 person to 5000! All scoring participants must be full-time and employed by the participating company at least three months prior to race day. Part-time employees, family members, and friends, as well as those under 18, may also participate and will count towards the participation number but are not eligible for individual or team awards. Employment and other criteria are subject to verification by the Race Committee. Because of insurance restrictions, strollers, animals, baby joggers, and rollerblades are not allowed on the racecourse, with the exception of participants using a wheelchair who are officially registered for the event.

NOTE: you DO NOT need to be a member of Kaiser Permanente to participate.

2. I walk. Can I participate?

Yes! Over 50% of event participants are walkers. For the safety of all participants, runners and walkers will be directed to separate start areas. Watch for signs to find the walker start lineup!

3. How do I get my company signed up?

The team captain must first register the company team (or social team). Once the team is ready, the team captain will get the word out to sign up! Each person will click the "Sign Up" tab at the top of the page.

4. Do any charities benefit from the race?

A portion of the proceeds is donated to various local charities including the Piedmont Park Conservancy, Atlanta Community Food Bank, Kyle Pease Foundation and the Elliot Galloway Scholarship Fund.

5. May I bring my children?

All participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian signature. Other considerations: the course has some hills, it can still be very warm in September, and there are a lot of participants at this event, so we recommend children under 13 staying at home. Due to insurance restrictions, baby joggers, strollers, rollerblades, and animals are not allowed, with the exception of participants using a wheelchair who are officially registered for the event.

6. Where can I tell my company members to meet?

Set up a time and place to meet prior to arriving at the race site. You will also want to know where to meet your team after the race. You can also reserve a Company Space for your team. Click here (coming soon!) for the Space Reservation Form.
